Classic & Iconic 500 cc Two-Stroke Sport Bikes
Yamaha RD500LC (RZ500)
A true two-stroke legend — a 499 cc, liquid-cooled V4 sports bike inspired by Yamaha’s GP racing machines of the 1980s. Known for smooth power delivery, race-derived design, and outstanding handling for its era, the RD500LC remains highly desired by collectors and riders alike.
Cagiva GP500
A pure racing 500 cc two-stroke V4 used in Grand Prix competition. Although not a street bike, it represents peak 500 cc two-stroke sportbike performance, with multiple iterations raced by top riders.
Bimota V Due
A 499 cc two-stroke V-twin sport bike with advanced engineering, direct fuel injection, and ambitious power goals. Early production had issues, but it’s a standout in two-stroke sport bike history and highly collectible.
ELF 500 ROC
Originally built for 500 cc World Championship racing, this Swiss-engineered machine uses a 499 cc V4 two-stroke engine with over 160 hp — lightweight and competition-focused, albeit very rare.
Exclusive & Modern Retro Builds
Suter MMX 500
A modern reinterpretation of classic GP-era 500 cc two-stroke bikes — only about 99 units made with modern materials and electronics. It revives legendary two-stroke performance for affluent riders and collectors.
Ronax 500
A road-legal two-stroke inspired by GP history with high output and modern engineering — extremely limited production and premium pricing.
Note on Availability
Unlike 250 cc or 125 cc two-stroke bikes, 500 cc street-legal two-stroke sport bikes are rare today because most manufacturers stopped producing them due to emissions regulations. Many of the bikes above are collectors’ classics, track/GP machines, or limited runs rather than mainstream new models.
